We at Skate Safe regularly run our own classes both at Thirsk and in conjunction with R-Kade Skate Park in Redcar - you can find details of both of these below. That's not all though, as we also work in conjunction with various schools and organisations throughout the North Yorkshire, County Durham and Teesside areas on a variety of projects that may not necessarily be open to the general public.

There's no reason we can't! Many of our intiatives begin as one individual looking for a place for their son/daughter/themselves to learn to skate and progress from there, so never be too shy to ask! I'm interested but what can Skate Safe offer?

We have a wide range of different options available depending on your specific requirements! We're happy to run after school classes - and these have been particularly popular - or we can run independant courses on evenings or weekends. We also are happy to run one off taster sessions or exhibitions, we've even been known to organise competitions and we certainly cater for birthdays and special occasions with our awesome skate parties! The length of the sessions and courses can be catered to individual requirements from an hour to a full day or even longer for the sessions, and to any length required for courses. Starting from Saturday the 7th of February 2009 Skate Safe have linked up with R-Kade Skate Park to provide new and existing skaters alike with the ideal opportunity to hone their skills at one of the premiere skate venues in the North East - R-Kade Skate Park itself!

It can be fairly intimidating to go to a skate park for the first time when you're just starting to skateboard, so why not come along and learn with Popcorn? Starting from Saturday the 7th of February from 10am-12pm we'll be teaching classes at R-Kade itself for all ages and abilities, and they will act as a perfect introduction for those who want to learn to skate, skate a park for the first time or just hone their existing skills.
