Our beginner courses are for just that - complete beginners of all ages. You need no experience at all to be able to participate and you don't even need to buy any equipment straight off if you don't want to - we can provide everything you'll need! The course contains:
# Structured lessons # Introduction to the culture and business of skateboarding # Introduction to the anatomy of a skateboard # Basics of balance and foot positioning # Pushing # Turning # building up to simple tricks like tic tacking, etc # Basic ramp use # How to Ollie The beginners course is all about learning about skateboarding, learning to be comfortable riding a skateboard and learning how to properly control a skateboard. When you can do that and you can perform an Ollie to a satisfactory degree, you'll move up to intermediate classes! Intermediate
Upon entering our intermediate class you'll be confident riding and controlling a skateboard, you'll be able to Ollie, and you'll have had some practise riding ramps to a basic degree. Our intermediate classes are the ideal progression from this point, as we expand into some more difficult tricks and the development of the individual style so unique to skateboarding! We include:
# Less structured lessons, allowing freedom to develop # Encouraging kids to develop their own personal style of skating # Emphasis on choice and individuality # More complex tricks such as kick flips, heel flips, shuvit-pushit # More complex ramp based tricks such as axle stalls, 5-0 pivot, frontside rock-n-roll, frontside 5-0 pivot # Introduction of skating games The aim of the intermediate class is to build on the basics taught to our beginners, and once these skills have been mastered it's onto the really tricky stuff in the advanced class! Advanced
Once all the tricks at intermediate level have been mastered it's time to step up and start putting everything together - that's where our Advanced classes come into play! Designed to help students with a solid knowledge of basic control techniques, tricks and ramp use to put these skills into use in the real world and to continue to develop their own personal skating style, we cover:
# More obstacles # Railslides # Advanced Flip tricks # Wider range of ramps used # All Supervised The beautyof the advanced class is that there is no real limit to it's value. If an experienced skater who already knows all the basics wanted to come along to skate school and skate with our crew to hone their skills or try and develop new ones, this is the class to attend!
